It includes a history of 6,000 years, which can be traced through written history and archeological artifacts. The history of the museum begins in the period of the younger stone age, the Eneolithic, the Roman period and the mere seas of the people. Then it was covered by the early Middle Ages and the story of great families where Frankopani and Zrinski and the Ozalj cultural circle are particularly prominent. The collection of weapons from the time when the last Zrinski wars with the Turks continues to the baroque period and to the Society of the Brethren of the Croatian Dragon, who in 1928 became the owners of the old Ozalj town and in the 30s organize a museum collection as a kind of “museum in the museum”.
And of course, a special part is devoted to Slavi Raškaj, a lyric painter whose watercolors represent the highest range of Croatian watercolor painting at the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
In history depicted by historical ensembles, the history of the local history was presented until the First World War, ie until 1918, on the pavilion order in the monastery in Svetice, the construction of the Ozalj Building under the name “Munjara” from 1908, the construction of the railway line in 1913, the emigration in the United States, education …
